Every year IBPS conducts IBPS PO exam to select Probationary officer to deploy in Public sectors. IBPS gives its recruitment services to public sector banks such as RBI, SBI, NABARD, LIC and regular member banks of the IBPS society.
The application for IBPS PO is accepted via Online and this exam is conducted all over India.The exam is conducted throughout India in online mode.
IBPS PO CWE preliminary exam is scheduled on October 7th, 8th, 14th, 15th.
IBPS PO CWE Mains exam is scheduled on November 26.
Apart from basic graduation, the candidate should be proficient in handling computer since the exam is conducted through online. The candidate should also be proficient in Local language and he/she must know to write and speak the local language.

This exam will be held on two phases. Preliminary or Tier 1, Mains or Tier2.

IBPS PO preliminary exam pattern:
The preliminary exam bid conducted through online for one hour. It totally contains 3 subjects for 100 questions for 100 marks. 0.25 is deducted as negative mark for every One mark objective type question. The candidates shall clear cut off sectional to appear for IBPS PO Mains. The preliminary pattern of IBPS PO is as follows.
- English 30 questions 30 marks
- Numerical35 questions 35 marks
- Reasoning 35 questions 35 marks
The composite hour of exam is one hour.
IBPS PO main exam pattern
IBPS PO exam pattern is changed this year. Descriptive paper is added in the main exam pattern. There are totally four sections with a total score of 200 marks for 3 hours. 0.25 is deducted as negative marking for one mark objective question. The four sections are
- Reasoning and computer aptitude 45 questions 60 minutes 60 marks
- Banking awareness/general/ economy 40 questions 35 minutes40 marks
- English 35 questions 40 minutes 40 marks
- Data analysis and interpretation 35 questions 45 minutes 60 marks
- English letter writing and essay 2 questions 25 marks
IBPS PO interview
The qualified candidates in the mains will be called for interview that carries 100 marks. The interview will be conducted for 15-20 minutes. The merit list will be prepared based in the weightage of the main exam and interview.
